Poach Prevent Public Referral Program Policy
Effective Date: August 1, 2025
Referral Bonus Amount: $500 per referral
Overview
Poach Prevent welcomes and rewards members of the public who help us connect with businesses that benefit
from our staffing contract audit services. To show our appreciation, we offer a $500 cash bonus for successful
referrals under the terms outlined below.
Who Can Participate
Anyone can participate unless prohibited by law or regulation. However, participation does not make you an employee of ours (you are not an employee, contractor, agent, or official representative of Poach Prevent) unless prohibited by law or regulation. Of course, if for some reason paying you a bonus is a violation of law or would put us in breach of contract, we cannot pay you a referral fee. We do want your referrals and will exhaust efforts to give you any bonuses you deserve!
What Qualifies as a Referral
To earn the $500 referral bonus, your referral must meet all of the following conditions:
1. Warm Introduction to a Business Contact: You must make some sort of a personal, warm introduction to a decision-
maker or influential contact at a business that is not currently working with Poach Prevent. We want to pay referral bonuses, but we cannot pay bonuses for spamming us with random businesses or contact whom you have never met or have no relationship at all with.
2. Successful Agreement: Your introduction must proximately lead to Poach Prevent signing a Master Services
Agreement (MSA) with that business.
3. Vendor Onboarding Trigger: One of the staffing agencies used by that business must be successfully
onboarded to Poach Prevent’s system to fully trigger earning your bonus.
4. Referral Quality Standards: Referrals will not qualify if they:
o Are made through spam or mass solicitation
o Involve false or misleading claims
o Do not reflect a genuine endorsement
o The referral is in violation of an applicable law or contract
Referral Notification Requirement
If a company you refer contacts Poach Prevent directly without using your introduction method (email, call, or
shared connection), it is your responsibility—or that of your referrer—to inform us that you made the original
introduction. Failure to notify Poach Prevent in a timely manner may disqualify you from receiving the referral bonus. Again, we want to pay referrals (but we need to know that this has occurred).
Multiple Referrers
If multiple individuals played meaningful roles in making a referral that qualifies under this policy, Poach Prevent
may, at its sole discretion, decide who has earned the referral. Depending on the sources and nature of the referrals, we may pay multiple people a referral bonus for the same client.
Payment and Tax Compliance
Referral bonuses will be issued within 30 days of confirming that all eligibility conditions have been satisfied. If you feel like you have not received a referral you believe you have earned, just contact us (referrals@poachprevent.com).
Individuals who earn $600 or more in a calendar year must submit a Form W-9 and will receive a Form
1099-NEC.
Recipients are solely responsible for any applicable taxes on the referral bonus.
No Employment or Agency Relationship
This program does not create any employment, agency, or contractor relationship between Poach Prevent and the
participant. Participants may not present themselves as representatives of Poach Prevent.
Online Promotions & FTC Compliance
If you promote Poach Prevent or this referral program publicly online (including social media, blogs, or forums), you
must disclose that you may receive compensation. This is required by FTC Endorsement Guidelines.
Examples of appropriate disclosures:
- “I may receive compensation if you sign up through my referral.”
-“Sponsored referral: I could earn a reward.”
Failure to comply may result in disqualification from the program.
Changes and Termination
Poach Prevent reserves the right to change, suspend, or terminate this referral program at any time without prior
notice. Bonuses will only be paid for referrals that meet all criteria before any program change takes effect. We have to say this for legal reasons, but we promise we want to pay as many referrals as possible!
